His accent was terrible! It was wannabe Aussie! I didn't even know he was meant to be Australian in the movie til someone told me!
And yeah not a bad movie, but they could have cast maps (Daniel's character) so much better. He pretty much ruined it for me.
I liked the ending though.

I am Aussie and he just doesnt sound right.. I guess maybe if you're aussie you can pick it out a bit more?
But yeah i thought they could have gotten a heaps better person for maps, because da isnt even a good actor in the hp movies and i could barely take him seriously in december boys.

I actually find it easier to do an American accent than an Aussie one for some reason...
Well, I'd say it's hard to do an Aussie accent without sounding cartoonishly exaggerated like Steve Irwin. Same thing with Scottish, it's very subtle. But without actually being to Australia, I'm still under the impression that their accent has much in common with an English one.
On topic though, I still have yet to see it, and I think I should.
