There's no need for that, for that is probably why some people spam. That's how it is on another forum that I often visit.

I answered my own question because it wasn't a vote. The staff agreed to keep them, and the members (notably Sunshine) brought up some good points about why they should be gone. Therefore, I chose to put them in the designated "un-modded" section of the forum.

And as for why people spam, I don't think so. Possibly why people flame, but spammers do it just because it gives them cheap thrills.

To tell you the truth, there are many reasons why people spam, actually.

Also, where's this bit where the staff agreed to keep them? I know I spoke up against keeping them because there's no point in them but I see no discussion anywhere about them since my threads disappeared after the random 'going back in time' bits. Keeping them won't put spammers off, nothing will. At least they're hard to find even in Rules and Announcements so they're unlikely to put anybody but myself off coming here.

At least if they're gone nobody is put off by them. Leaving them there doesn't have any benefits, plus if it's meant to be a family friendly forum some of the stuff in those threads REALLY needs to be censored if nobody is going to actually delete them.

Moving them to the black hole is a great idea. certainly better than keeping them where they were made. The black hole was made for junk anyway.

Yeah I guess they'd be fine there, only they've not actually been moved yet, they're still in Rules and Announcements.
