Did you notice that in Chapter 10, when the trio are being chased by Filch, Hermione uses Harry's wand to open the door, and not hers? Shouldn't she have used hers to get through? After all, she's only a first year.

Yeah, she should have used her own. However, she is the 'brightest' witch for her age, and I am sure she is control enough that she can use other people's wands. Besides, in many ways she has a great connection to Harry and Voldemort, so a wand that suits both of them can and apparently does suit her.

Many wizards can use other wizards wands it seems.

Mmmm, I think its a mistake because Hermione is the brightest witch OF HER AGE. It doesnt mean shes ultra powerful and I doubt she would eb able to use anothers wand affectivley.

I am sure it was a mistake or something. Naturally we would assume she is very talented but to use another's wand is quite unnatural considering what Harry went through trying to find is wand. Who knows...

Wow you must have been paying very close attention! In all honesty I didn't even notice that when I read it. I agree that maybe it was a mistake though.

That struck me as odd and I questiones that myself. I thought that maybe it was a mistake in the book but at the same time I don't know, I would think they get proof read.
